Bounge Furniture: creative industrial design and extreme compact comfort. Bounge stands for timeless design. Of course you want to enjoy your Bounge furniture as long as possible. We add great value to the quality and durability of our products and we therefore recommend that you carefully read these maintenance instructions.
While Bounge products are designed to be kept outside all year round, it is always better to store
them indoors if you plan not to use them for a while. Any dry, shaded space will suffice.
Maintenance of the wood
Bounge Original
Because Bounge add great value to industrial quality and durability with the industrial designed furniture, all Bounge Original elements are of Vacuum-impregnated pine. This is wood which is treated with a preservative that offers many years protection from fungi and insects.
Bounge Ice White / Midnight Black
To offer great quality and durability with less maintenance, Bounge uses industrial varnished vacuum impregnated pine. Damage on the wood can easily be repaired with varnish made from alkyd resin.
Bounge Deluxe
Because Sapeli Mahogany is wood that is weather and water repellent, it doesn’t need much maintenance. Hardwood will turn grey over the course of time. However, this has no effect on the durability of the wood. You can prevent the wood from turning grey by regularly treating the wood with hardwood oil, thereby retaining the warm colour of the hardwood.
Maintenance tips to enjoy your Bounge:
- You can clean your furniture with cold/lukewarm tap water and a mild detergent, rinse afterwards with clean water.
- Clean your table regularly with a damp cloth using cold/lukewarm tap water.
- Remove drink or food stains with a damp cloth as quickly as possible to prevent them
from being absorbed by the material or becoming permanent due to sunlight.
- To avoid green scale the garden set can best be stored indoors during the winter.
- In the event of tenacious deposits (e.g. green scale, when your furniture has been outside for a long time), you can use a hard brush or an abrasive sponge. Never apply caustic agents, all-purpose cleaners or bleach, or steel wool or a wire brush. Rinse afterwards with clean cold/lukewarm tap water.
Warranty
Our furniture is covered by a three-year warranty, which extends to material and manufacturing defects, under normal usage. The warranty excludes:
- Damage through use;
- Scratches;
- cracks in wood;
- Turning grey / Discoloration of wood;
- Resin on the wood
- Salt on impregnated wood
- colour changes of the cushion because of over exposure to water and sun
Defects that are the result of incorrect or improper use (for example: abnormal loads, damage from aggressive substances, incorrect assembly or maintenance, repairs by non-experts, etc.) are also excluded. This warranty does not entitle the purchaser to compensation.
